Amy has extensive work experience in experiential education and employer engagement as well as researched related to student learning outcomes. She oversees the continued development and operation of the FUSION program, a new approach to baccalaureate education focused on gaining real-world experience in application and web development. Amy provides oversight of the IT Residency student preparation, application and selection process with both students and employers. She also recruits and collaborates with employer partners for the FUSION program.

Larry Gottschalk

Larry Gottschalk

Larry Gottschalk has worked at two different computation centers as well as a British computer company. Then he worked 30 years in computer application development for Control Data, the super-computer manufacturer, in Minneapolis/St Paul. In 2002 he joined Metropolitan State University and teaches many of the undergraduate and graduate level courses in the program. Larry now coordinates the new CApp (Computer Application) major in the ICS department, which is a major that coordinates with the FUSION program of Advanced IT Minnesota.

Birtukan has more than 13 years advising experience, mainly in Information and Computer Science programs, and provides educational guidance to students interested in applying to the program as well as to accepted students working towards completion.
